To Market, To Market

.... and what did I find?

. . . this whimsical rooster chicken (hubby said)
soup tureen. . .
(Being a city girl, I don't really
know how to tell the sex of this
domestic bird.)

Fritz & Floyd
Didn't matter to me if it was
a girl or a boy
(hen or rooster),
I liked "IT" anyway!!!!

oh, so pretty!!!
and he she was a real bargain
See - told ya he was a buy!!!!

And, I just bet my homemade
chicken noodle soup
will taste
even better served from this tureen,
don't you?

Our Tuesday Morning just moved
to a new building -
larger and so organized -
just browsing with a friend
and there he she sat saying,

  1. I love your rooster/chicken! Hen or rooster is fine with me, too. Though I've never been a collector of them, lately I've been wanting to add a hen or rooster in my kitchen area. Your shutters look pretty, and I really like the screened-in porch and beautiful snow! I'm your new follower and would be thrilled for you to visit my blogs, too. Have a blessed weekend!

  2. That was a real bargain--Love that rooster. Very Frenchy-looking!

  3. That is so cute Martha! I love roo's too. Hope to see you Monday at the newbie party.

  4. Hi Martha! So glad you joined me. Have fun at the party meeting some new gals.

  5. So cute! I have fallen head-over-heels for chickens, roosters, whatever. They are so darn cute wherever you might want to use them in your decor.

  6. Oh! Oh! Oh! I love that hen tureen!!! It is SO pretty; and what a great price!
