Guest Bath Update

From this

Guest Bath

You'll have to use your imagination -
(I forgot to make a "before" pic.)
When we built, we used the
bar lights across the mirror -
I was SO tired of that look.

We found this pretty brushed chrome fixture
on clearance and it was exactly what I wanted.

Ya know - everything looks better when
it's a
 SALE!!!

I used urethane to paint stripes on the wall
when I repainted several years ago.
I didn't want to repaint,
was not tired of this look,
and knew I couldn't paint to match
the wall where the old light once was.
So, Mr. Handy Dandy
designed a board with crown moulding
to mount the new light fixture on.
This solved the problem of the "unpainted" spot on the wall.
I'm liking how it turned out, too.

Mirror, mirror on the wall.
You weren't a pretty mirror at all!!!
But, after finding a frame on the clearance aisle
at Hobby Lobby (love that place!),
painting it to match the woodwork and the
board above, you're the
Fairest Of Them All!!

Moved this from another room -
not sure if it will stay here or not.
It's not quite the look I want.
I'll stumble upon "just the right thing"
for this spot.

Sweet little green birdie.

New updated look
easy on my checkbook, too.

Still not sure if I will paint the cabinet
(hubby says "yes")
but,
I do need to shop for new knobs.
And, I'm thinking about
a new granite countertop, too.

One thing leads to another.

Thanks for stoppin' in.
Have a blessed day!

My Favorite Spot

We spend so much of our time out on the screened-in deck.
We eat all our meals out here when the weather is nice
and have even been known to "bundle up" a bit if it is too chilly.

The Pineapple Candle Holder
a fun "flea" find!!!

Our old pie safe.
We bought this from an estate sale
about thirty-five years ago.
We used it in the family room with our
tv inside - that was before the BIG
screens invaded our homes.
It sat in the storage attic for about five years
until I convinced hubby to bring it down to the deck.
Gives me a fun place to put some "pretties".

A good place for "Bird Watching"

We have a family of owls and
hawks living in the wooded area behind our house.
The owls start "hooting" about six o'clock every night.

An old sewing maching gets a new life -
so handy to use for serving.

I stenciled the top a few years ago
and am happy with the way it has "aged".

The trickling water makes the deck
even more relaxin'.

Kermit is a new addition this year.
He moved into the pond this spring
and seranades us often.

Whatever time of day ---

"Quite Time" in the morning
Lunch at noon
Dinnertime
Enjoying hand-cranked homemade ice cream
Chatting with friends
Taking a nap

...it is my favorite spot.
